Meribah ~ መሪባ: quarrel or strife / EBD, (ዘጸ 17:7)
The name ‘Meribah’ is derived from ‘Meri’ (መሪ) and ‘Aba’ (አባ)
፥ the meaning is ‘ancient
fathers’ /

“And he called the name of the
place Massah, and Meribah, because
of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord,
saying, Is the Lord among us, or not?”
(Ex 17:7)

መሪባ ~Meribah: መሪአባ፣ መሪ አባ፣ ፊተኛ አባት፣ የቀደሙ አባቶች ማለት ነው። (ክርክር ተብሎም ይተረጎማል።)
