Wine ~ ወይን: Vine / ወይን (ዘፍ 9: 21)

The name ‘Wine’ is derived from ‘Weyn’ (ወይን) ፥ the meaning is ‘wine’/ Ibid.

The manufacture of wine is carried back in the Bible to the age of Noah, “And he drank of the wine, and was drunken ...” (Gen 9: 21)

ወይን ~Vine, Wine: ወይነ፣ ዋይን፣ ወይን ጠጅ ማለት ነው።

‘ወይን’ ከሚለው ቃል የተገኘ ስም ነው።

I.                        ወይን /Vine: “ኖኅም ገበሬ መሆን ጀመረ፥ ወይንም ተከለ።” (ዘፍ 9:20)

II.                        ወይን /Wine:

·                     ወይን ከኖህ ዘመን ጀምሮ የሚታወቅ ጥንታዊ መጠጥ ነው፥“ኖኅም ገበሬ መሆን ጀመረ፥ ወይንም ተከለ።” (ዘፍ 9:20)

·                     የሳሌም ንጉሥ መልከ ጼዴቅ ለአብርሃም ያቀረበለት፥ “የሳሌም ንጉሥ መልከ ጼዴቅም እንጀራንና የወይን ጠጅን አወጣ እርሱም የልዑል እግዚአብሔር ካህን ነበረ።” (ዘፍ 14:18 )

·                     “መልአኩም ማጭዱን ወደ ምድር ጣለው፥ በምድርም ካለው ከወይን ዛፍ ቈርጦ ወደ ታላቁ ወደ እግዚአብሔር ቍጣ መጥመቂያ ጣለ።” (ራእ 14:19)
