Shiphtan ~ ሺፍጣን: “Shiphtan” means judicial / SBD, (ዘኁ 34:24)

The name ‘Shiphtan’ is derived from ‘Sfnet’ (ስፍነት) ፥ the meaning is ‘Judgement’ / Ibid.

Father of Kemuel, a prince of the tribe of Ephraim, “And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan” (Num 34:24)

ሺፍጣን ~Shiphtan: ሰፈነ፣ ስፍነት፣ መስፈን፣ መሳፍንት፣ ዳኛነት ማለት ነው።

‘ሰፈነ’ ከሚለው ግስ የተገኘ  ስም ነው።

ከኤፍሬም ልጆች ነገድ፥ የቀሙኤል አባት፣ “ከኤፍሬም ልጆች ነገድ አንድ አለቃ የሺፍጣን ልጅ ቀሙኤል፥” (ዘኁ 34:24)
