The name ‘Sharezer’ is derived from ‘Shar’ (ሸር) and ‘Zer’ (ዘር)፥ the meaning is ‘family of the foregiver’ / Ibid.

“When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regemmelech, and their men, to pray before the LORD,” (Zec 7:2)

ሳራሳር ~Sharezer, Sherezer: ቸር ዘር፣ ምስጉን፣ አምላካዊ፣ መልካም ወገን፣ የንጉሥ ወገን፣ መለኮታዊ ማለት ነው።
