The name ‘Uriel’ is derived from ‘Uri’ (ኡሪ) and ‘El’ (ኤል) ፥ the meaning is ‘the almighty lord is the light’ / Ibid.

A Levite of the family of Kohath, “Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son” (1 Chr 6:24)
