አማሌቅ ~Amalek, Amalekites: አመላክ፣ አማልክ፣ የሚያመልክ፣ አምልኮት ያለው ማለት ነው።

‘መለከ’ ከሚለው ግስ የመጣ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ አራት ሰዎች አሉ።

I.                        አማሌቅ /Amalek:

1.                  የኤልፋዝ ልጅ፥ “የኤልፋዝ ልጆች ቴማን፥ ኦማር፥ ስፎ፥ ጎቶም፥ ቄኔዝ፥ ቲምናዕ፥ አማሌቅ።” (1 ዜና 1:36)

2.                  የዓዳ ልጅ፥ (ዘፍ 36:16)

II.                        አማሌቅ አገር /Amalekites: አማሌቅ ዓውያን

1.                  “ተመልሰውም ቃዴስ ወደ ተባለች ወደ ዓይንሚስፓጥ መጡ የአማሌቅን አገር ሁሉና ደግሞ በሐሴሶን ታማር የነበረውን አሞራውያንን መቱ።” (ዘፍ 14፡7)

2.                  “በደቡብም ምድር አማሌቅ ተቀምጦአል ...” (ዘኁ 13:29፣ 1 ሳሙ 15:7)

Amad ~ ዓምዓድ: “Amad” means enduring / SBD; People of witness; a prey / HBN, (ኢያ 19:26)

The name ‘Amad’ is derived from ‘Amde’ (አምደ) ፥ the meaning is ‘pillar, principal or centeral foundation’/ Ibid.

A known place in Asher, between Alammelech and Misheal, “And Alammelech, and Amad, and Misheal ...” (Jos 19:26)

ዓምዓድ ~Amad: አማድ፣ አዕማድ፣ አምድ፣ መሠረት፣ ምሰሶ ማለት ነው።
‘አምደ’ ከሚለው ግስ የመጣ የቦታ ስም ነው።
የአሴር ልጆች ነገድ ድንበር፥ “አላሜሌክ፥ ዓምዓድ፥ ሚሽአል ነበረ በምዕራብ በኩል ወደ ቀርሜሎስና ወደ ሺሖርሊብናት ደረሰ” (ኢያ 19:26)

Alphaeus ~ እልፍዮስ: “Alphaeus” means changing / SBD, The name “Alpheus” means a thousand; learned; chief, (ማቴ 10:3)

The name ‘Alphaeus’ is derived from ‘Elf’’ (እልፍ) and ‘Was’ (ዋስ) ፥ the meaning is ‘deliverer of thousands’ / Ibid.

እልፍዮስ ~Alphaeus: እልፍ ዋስ፣ የሽዎች ዋስ፣ የብዙዎ ች አዳኝ ማለት ነው።

‘እልፍ’ እና  ‘ዋስ’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

ከአሥራ ሁለቱ ሐዋርያት የአንዱ የያዕቆብ አባት፥ “ፊልጶስም በርተሎሜዎስም፥ ቶማስም ቀራጩ ማቴዎስም፥ የእልፍዮስ ልጅ ያዕቆብም ታዴዎስም የተባለው ልብድዮስ፥” (ማቴ 10:30)

Alphabet ~ ፊደል (the word ‘alphabet’ doesn’t found in the English bible): same as ፊደል / Write / (ኢሳ 8፡1)

The root words for ‘Alphabet’ are ‘Alfa’ (first) and ‘Biet’ (ቤት)፥ The meaning is ‘first house (or class, level...)’ / Ibid

ፊደል ~Alphabet: አልፋ ቤት፣ የመጀመሪያ ክፍል፣ አንደኛ ደረጃ ማለት ነው።

Alphabet- ‘አልፋ’ እና ‘ቤት’ ከሚሉ ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

“እግዚአብሔርም፦ ታላቅ ሰሌዳ ወስደህ። ምርኮ ፈጠነ፥ ብዝበዛ ቸኰለ ብለህ በሰው ፊደል ጻፍበት።” (ኢሳ 8፡1)

Alpha ~ አልፋ:  (A), the first letter of the Greek alphabet / SBD, (ራእ 1:8)

The name ‘Alpha’ is derived from ‘Alefe’ (አለፈ)፥ The meaning is ‘the past, the ancient, the first’ / Ibid.

It is used in the Old Testament and in the New to express the eternity of God, as including both the beginning and the end, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (Rev 1:8, 11; 21:6; 22; 13; Isa 41:4; 44:6)

አልፋ ~Alpha: አልፋ፣ አላፊ፣ ቀዳማዊ፣ ጥንታዊ፣ ፊተኛ፣ አንደኛ፣ መጀመሪያ ማለት ነው። [የግሪክ ቋንቋ የመጀመሪያ ፊደል ስም / መቅቃ]

ከጌታ ኢየሱስ መጠሪያ ስሞች አንዱ፥ “ያለውና የነበረው የሚመጣውም ሁሉንም የሚገዛ ጌታ አምላክ። አልፋና ዖሜጋ እኔ ነኝ ይላል።” (ራእ1:8 ፣ 11 ፣ 21:6 ፣ 22 ፣ 13) ፣ እግዚአብሔር አምላክ እራሱን ያሳወቀበት ስም፥ “ይህን የሠራና ያደረገ፥ ትውልድንም ከጥንት የጠራ ማን ነው? እኔ እግዚአብሔር፥ ፊተኛው በኋላኞችም ዘንድ የምኖር እኔ ነኝ።” (ኢሳ 41:4 ፣ 44:6)

Alleluia ~ ሃሌ ሉያ: The name “Alleluia” means praise the Lord / HBN, (ራእ 19፡1፣ 3፣ 4፣ 6)

The word ‘Alleluia’ is derived from ‘Halle’le’ (ሃሌ’ለ) and ‘Yah’ (ያህ) ፥ the meaning is ‘singing joyfully and loudly to Jehovah’ / Ibid.

“And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia ...” (Rev 19:1, 3, 4, and 6)

ሃሌሉያ ~Alleluia, Praise ye the Lord: ሃሌ ለ ያህ፣ አምላክን ጠራ፣ ለህያው ጌታ ዘመረ፣ እግዚአብሔርን አመሰገነ ማለት ነው። [ተዛማጅ ስሞች- ሂሌል፣ ማህለህ፣ ማህለት]

‘ሃሌ’ እና ‘ለ’ያህ’ ከሚሉ ቃላት የተመሠረተ ቃል ነው።

‘ሃሌ’- ሃሎ፣ እልል ማለት፣ መጮህ፣ መጣራት፣ ማመስገን፣ መዘመር፣ መዝፈን ማለት ነው።

‘ያ’- ያህ፣ ያህዊ፣ ህያው፣ ዘላለማዊ አምላክ፣ እግዚአብሔር ማለት ነው።

[ሃሌታና እልልታ በሚስጢር አንድ ነው ፥ ሰብሑ፡ እግዚእ ፤ ሰብሑ፤ ያህ እግዚእ አምላክ / ኪወክ / አ]

I.                        ሃሌ ሉያ /Alleluia: ነብዮ ዮሐንስ በራእይ ያየውን ሲናገር የተጠቀመው ቃል፥ “ሃሌ ሉያ፤ በዝሙትዋ ምድርን ያጠፋችይቱን ታላቂቱን...” (ራእ 19፡1፣3፣ 4፣ 6)

II.                        ሃሌሉያ /Praise ye the Lord: ንጉሥ ዳዊት ያመሰገነበት ቃል፥ “በእግዚአብሔር ቤት አደባባይ፥ ኢየሩሳሌም ሆይ፥ በመካከልሽም። ሃሌሉያ” (መዝ 116:19)
