Ahumai ~ አሑማይ: The name “Ahumai” means a meadow of waters; a brother of waters / HBN, (1 ዜና 4:2)

The name ‘Ahumai’ is derived from two words ‘Aya’ (አያ) and ‘May’ (ማይ) ፥ the meaning is ‘brother of water’ / Ibid.

Son of Jabath, a descendant of Judah, and head of one of the families of the Zorathites, “... and Jahath begat Ahumai, and Lahad; ...” (1 Chr 4:2)

አሑማይ ~Ahumai: አያ ማይ፣ አያ ማዕይ፣ አያ ውኃ፣ ወንድም ውኃ፣ ውኃ ወዳጅ ማለት ነው።

‘አያ’ እና ‘ማይ’ ከሚሉ ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

የይሁዳ ወገን፥ የኢኤት ልጅ፥ “የሦባልም ልጅ ራያ ኢኤትን ወለደ ኢኤትም አሑማይንና ላሃድን ወለደ።” (1 ዜና 4:2)
