Adoni-bezek ~ አዶኒቤዜቅ: “Adonibezek” means lord of Bezek / SBD; The lightning of the Lord; the Lord of lightning / HBN (መሣ 1፡4-7)

The name ‘Adonibezek’ is derived from two words ‘Adany’ (አዳኝ) and ‘Be’hziq’ (በ’ሕዚቅ) ፥ the meaning is ‘powerful saviour’ / Ibid.

King of Bezek, a city of the Canaanites, “And they found Adonibezek in Bezek: and they fought against him ...” (Jud 1:4-7)

አዶኒቤዜቅ ~Adoni-bezek: አዶናይ በዚቅ፣ ኃያል አዳኝ፣ የብርሃን ጌታ፣ የነጸብራቅ አምላክ ማለት ነው።

‘አዳነ’ እና ‘በዚቅ’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተገኘ ስም ነው።

ኢያሱ ከሞተ በኋላ ይሁዳ እግዚአብሔር ከነዓናውያንንና ፌርዛውያንን በእጃቸው አሳልፎ ከሰጣቸው፥ የከነዓውያን ከተማ፥ (መሣ 1፡4-7)
