Agur ~ አጉር: gatherer; the collector / EBD, (ምሳ 30፡1)

The name ‘Agur’ is derived from ‘Agore’ (አጎረ) ፥ the meaning is ‘gatherer; the collector’ / Ibid.

The son of Jakeh; “The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel ...” (Pro 30:1)

አጉር ~Agur: አጉር፣ አጎረ፣ አጉራ፣ አጓሪ፣ ሰበሰበ፣ አጠራቀመ ማለት ነው።

‘አጎረ’ ከሚለው ግስ የተገኘ ስም ነው።

የማሣ አገር ሰው የያቄ ልጅ፥ “የማሣ አገር ሰው የያቄ ልጅ የአጉር ቃል ሰውየው ለኢቲኤልና ለኡካል እንደዚህ ይናገራል።” (ምሳ 30፡1)
