Ahiezer ~ አሒዔዝር: The name “Ahiezer” means brother of assistance / HDN, (1 ዜና 12:3)

The root words ‘Ahiezer’ are ‘Aya’ (አያ) and ‘Zer’ (ዘር)፥ ‘Ahi’ means brotherly, or friendly; and ‘zer’ means relative or family mamber.The meaning is ‘family, my brother’/ Ibid.

አሒዔዝር ~Ahiezer: አያ ዘር፣ ወንድም ወገን፣ ረዳት ወንድም፣ አጋዥ፣ ተባባሪ ማለት ነው። [ተዛማጅ ስም- አኪዔዘር]

‘አያ’ እና ‘ዘር’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ ሁለት ሰዎች አሉ።

1.                  በጺቅላግ ከቂስ ልጅ ከሳኦል በተሸሸገ ጊዜ ወደ ዳዊት ከመጡ፥ “አለቃቸው አሒዔዝር ነበረ...” (1 ዜና 12:3)

2.                  ከእስራኤል ወደ ሰልፍ የወጡ፥ ከየነገዱ አንድ ሰው፥ ከዳን ነገድ፣ የአሚሳዳይ ልጅ፥ (ዘኁ 2:25፤10:25)
