Adonikam ~ አዶኒቃም: The name “Adonikam” means the Lord is raised / HBN, (ዕዝ 2፡13)

The name ‘Adonikam’ is derived from two words ‘Adany’ (አዳኝ) and ‘Qome`’ (ቆመ) ፥ the meaning is ‘the one who stands to protect’ / Ibid.

አዶኒቃም ~Adonikam: አዳኒ ቋሚ፣ ቋሚ አዳኝ፣ ቋሚ ተጠሪ፣ ጌታ ያጸናው ማለት ነው።[ተዛማጅ ስሞች- ቀሙኤል፣ ቁሚ፣ አኪቃም፣ ኢዮአቄም፣ ዓዝሪቃም፣ ኤልያቄም፣ ያቂም፣ ዮቂም፣ ዮአቂም]

‘አዳነ’ እና ‘ቆመ’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።  

የባቢሎንም ንጉሥ ናቡከደነፆር ወደ ባቢሎን ከማረካቸው ምርኮኞች ወደ ኢየሩሳሌምና ወደ ይሁዳ ወደ እየከተማቸው የተመለሱ የአገር ልጆች አባት፥ (ዕዝ 2፡13)
