Urias ~ ኦርዮ: the same as Urijah / SBD, (ማቴ 1:6)

The name ‘Urias’ is derived from ‘Uri’ (ኡሪ) and ‘Was’ (ዋስ) ፥ the meaning is ‘the almighty lord is the light’ / Ibid.

Uriah, the husband of Bath-sheba, “... David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;” (Mat 1:6)

ኦርዮ ~Urias: ኡሪ ያህ፣ ህያው ብርሃን፣ የአምላክ ብርሃን ማለት ነው።

‘ኡር’ እና ‘ያህ’( ያህዌ) ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ ስምንት ሰዎች አሉ።

የንጉሥ ዳዊት ወታደር ሁኖ፥ የቤርሳቤህ ባል፥ “እሴይም ንጉሥ ዳዊትን ወለደ። ንጉሥ ዳዊትም ከኦርዮ ሚስት ሰሎሞንን ወለደ፤” (ማቴ 1:6)
