በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ አንድ ሰውና አንድ ቦታ አሉ።

1.                  የያቆብ ልጅ የይሳኮር ልጅ፥ “የይሳኮርም ልጆች ቶላ፥ ፉዋ፥ ዮብ፥ ሺምሮን።” (ዘፍ 46:13)

2.                  የቦታ ስም፥ “... ወደ ሺምሮንም ንጉሥ...” (ኢያ 11:1፣ 19:15)፣ “የአሶር ንጉሥ፥ የሺምሮን ሚሮን ንጉሥ” (ኢያ 12:20)
