Maroth ~ ማሮት: “Maroth” means bitterness / SBD; Bitterness / HBN, SBD, (ሚክ 1:12)

The name ‘Maroth’ is derived from ‘Mriet’ (ምሬት) ፥ the meaning is ‘bitterness’ / Ibid.

One of the towns of the western lowland of Judah, “For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.” (Mic 1:12)
