Makkedah
~ መቄዳ: “Makkedah” means place of shepherds / SBD, (ኢያ 12:16)
The name ‘Makkedah’ is derived from ‘Mekeda’ (መከዳ) ፥ the meaning is ‘wall’ / Ibid.
One of the royal
cities of the Canaanites, “The king of Makkedah,
one; the king of Bethel, one;” (Jos 12:16)
