Maranatha ~ ጌታችን ሆይ፥ ና: The name “Maranatha” means the Lord is coming / HBN; Our Lord Cometh / SBD, (1 ቆሮ 16:22)

The name ‘Maranatha’ is derived from ‘Mran’ (ምራን) and ‘Ante’ (አንተ) ፥ the meaning is ‘leader us, be our lord, king’ / Ibid.

An expression used by St. Paul at the conclusion of his first Epistle to the Corinthians, signifying "our Lord cometh," “If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha;” (1 Cor 16:22)

ጌታችንሆይ፥ና ~Maranatha: ማረን አንተ፣ ምራን አንተ፣ ይቅር በለን፣ ነጻ አውጣን ማለት ነው።

Maranatha- ‘ማረን’ እና ‘አንተ’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ቃል ነው።

ጳውሎስ ወደ ቆሮንጦስ በጻፈው ሰላምታ መደምደሚያ ላይ የተናገረው ቃል፥ “ጌታን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስን የማይወድ ቢኖር የተረገመ ይሁን። ጌታችን ሆይ፥ ና።” (1 ቆሮ 16:22)
