Leshem ~ ሌሼም: The name “Leshem” means a name; putting; a precious stone / HBN, (ኢያ 19:47)

The name ‘Leshem’ is derived from ‘Lesm’ (ለ’ስም) ፥ the meaning is ‘to the name’ / Ibid.

 “...the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it … and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.” (Isa 19:47)

ሌሼም ~Leshem: ለሽም፣ ለስም፣ ለመጠሪያ፣ ለመታወቂያ ማለት ነው።

‘ስም’ ከሚለው ቃል የመጣ ስም ነው።

ዳን ተብላ የተጠራች፥ የቦታ ስም፥ “የዳንም ልጆች ዳርቻ አልበቃቸውም የዳንም ልጆች ከሌሼም ጋር ሊዋጉ ወጡ፥ ...በአባታቸው በዳን ስም ዳን ብለው ጠሩአት።” (ኢያ 19:47)
