Kadmiel ~ ቀድምኤል: Before God / EBD, (ነህ 9:4)

The name ‘Kadmiel’ is derived from ‘Kedami’ (ቀዳሚ) and ‘El’ (ኤል) ፥ the root word for ‘kedami’ (ቀዳሚ) is ‘Kedeme’ (ቀደመ)

The meaning is ‘Almighty lord first’/ Ibid.

One of the Levites who with his family returned from Babylon with Zerubbabel, “ Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani ...” (Neh 9:4)

ቀድምኤል ~Kadmiel: ቀዳሚኤል፣ ፊተኛ አምላክ፣ በመጀምሪያ ጌታ፣ እግዚብሔርን ማስቀደም ማለት ነው።

‘ቀደመ’ እና ‘ኤል’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

የባቢሎን ንጉሥ ናቡከደነፆር ወደ ባቢሎን ከማረካቸው ምርኮኞች ወደ ኢየሩሳሌምና ወደ ይሁዳ ወደ እየከተማቸው ከተመለሱ የአገር ልጆች፥ ቀድምኤል፥ አንዱ ነው፥ “ሌዋውያኑም ኢያሱና ባኒ፥ ቀድምኤል፥ ሰበንያ፥ ቡኒ፥ ሰራብያ፥ ባኒ፥ ክናኒ ...” (ነህ 9:4)
