Kanah ~ ቃና: Reedy; brook of reeds / EBD; “Kanah” means a place of reeds / SBD, (ኢያ 16:8)

A stream forming the boundary between Ephraim and Manasseh, from the Mediterranean eastward to Tappuah, “The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.” (Jos 16:8)

ቃና ~Cana, Kanah: ቃና፣ ጣዕም ማለት ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ ሦስት ቦታዎች አሉ።

I.                        ቃና /Cana: የጌታ እናት ልጅዋ ጋር ለሰርግ የተገኘችበት አገር፥ “በሦስተኛውም ቀን በገሊላ ቃና ሰርግ ነበረ፥ የኢየሱስም እናት በዚያ ነበረች፤” (ዮሐ 2፡1-11)

II.                        ቃና /Kanah:

1.                  የኤፍሬም ልጆች ነገድ ርስት በየወገኖቻቸው፥ (ኢያ 16:8)

2.                  በአሴር ርስት በስተሰሜን የሚገኝ ከተማ፥ (ኢያ 19:28)
