Sabaoth ~ ፀባዖት: The name “Sabaoth” mean Lord of hosts / HBN, (ሮሜ 9:29)

The word ‘Sabaoth’ is derived from ‘Sebat’ (ሰብዓት) ፥ The meaning is ‘sabian, seven’/ Ibid.

God of the armies of earth, or God of the armies of the stars, or God of the unseen armies of angels; or perhaps it may include all these ideas,

“And as Esaias said before, except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed...” (Rom 9:29)

ፀባዖት ~Sabaoth: ሰባዖት፣ ሰባት፣ ሰዎች፣ ሕዝብ፣ ሠራዊት ማለት ነው። [ተዛማች ስም- ሰበንያ፣ ሰብታ፣ ሰንበት፣ ሳባ ሰዎች፣ ሳባታይ፣ ሳባጥ፣ ሳቤህ ፣ ሳቤዔ]

[ሠራዊት፥ ጭፍራ ማለት ነው / መቅቃ]

·                     ሐዋረያው ጳውሎስ ወደ ሮማውማውያን በላከው ደብዳቤ የጌታን ባህሪ ለመግለጽ የተጠቀመው ቃል፥ “ኢሳይያስም እንደዚሁ። ጌታ ፀባዖት ዘር ባላስቀረልን እንደ ሰዶም በሆንን ገሞራንም በመሰልን ነበር ብሎ አስቀድሞ ተናገረ” (ሮሜ 9:29)

·                     በተመሳሳይ ሁኔታ ያቆብ በመልክቱ ቃሉን ተጠቀመ፥ “... ወደ ጌታ ፀባዖት ጆሮ ገብቶአል።” (ያዕቆ 5:4)
