Pethahiah ~ ፈታያ: The Lord opening; gate of the Lord / HBD; “Pethahiah” means freed by Jehovah / SBD, (1 ዜና 24:16)

ፈታያ ~Pethahiah: ፍተ ያህ፣ አምላክ የፈታው፣ ጌታ የማረው፣ ፍትህ ያገኘ፣ ይቅር የተባለ ማለት ነው። [ተዛማጅ ስሞች- ኤፍታህ፣ ያፌት፣ ይፍታሕ፣ ይፍታሕኤል፣ ዮፍታሔ]

‘ፍተ’ እና ‘ያህ’(ያህዌ ፣ ህያው) ከሚሉ ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ ሦስት ሰዎች አሉ።

1.                  በዳዊት ዘመን፣ ከአልዓዛርና ከኢታምርም ልጆች መካከል የመቅደሱና የእግዚአብሔር አለቆች፥ “አሥራ ዘጠኝኛው ለፈታያ፥” (1 ዜና 24:16)

2.                  በዕዝራ ዘመን፣ ከግዞት ሲመለሱ፣ ከካህናቱ ወገን ልጆች እንግዶሽን ሴቶች ካገቡ፥ (ዕዝ 10:23)

3.                  የሜሴዜቤል ልጅ፥ (ነህ 11:24)
