Raphu ~ ራፉ: healed / EBD, (ዘኁ13:9)

The name ‘Raphu’ is derived from ‘Ref’ (ረፍ) ፥ the meaning is ‘rest’ / Ibid.

A Benjamite, whose son Palti was one of the twelve spies, “Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu” (Num 13:9)

ራፉ ~Raphu: ረፍ፣ አረፈ፣ ማረፍ፣ ረፍት ማለት ነው። [ተዛማጅ ስሞች- ሪፋት፣ ረፋያ፣ ራፋኤል፣ ራፋይ]

‘ረፍ’ ከሚለው ቃል የተገኘ ስም ነው።

እስራኤል ልጆች የከንዓንን ምድር ይሰልሉ ዘንድ፥ ሙሴም እንደ እግዚአብሔር ትእዛዝ ከፋራን ምድረ በዳ ከላካቸው፥ ከብንያም ነገድ፥ “ከብንያም ነገድ የራፉ ልጅ ፈልጢ...” (ዘኁ 13:9)
