Gath ~ ጌት: “Gath” means a wine press, / SBD, (1 ሳሙ 5፡8፣ 9)

One of the five royal cities of the Philistines, “... Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither.” (Jos 13:3), (1 Sam 5:8, 9; 6:17)

ጌት ~Gath: ጋት፣ ጋጥ፣ ጓዳ ማለት ነው። (የወይን መጭመቂያ ተብሎም ይተረጉማል።)

·                     የእግዚአብሔርም ታቦት በፍላስጤማውያን ተማኮ የተወሰደበት ከተማ፥ “...የእስራኤል አምላክ ታቦት ወደ ጌት ይዙር ብለው መለሱ...” (1 ሳሙ 5፡8፣9)
