Gaddiel ~ ጉዲኤል: Gaddiel” means fortune of God / SBD, (ዘኁ 13:10)

The name ‘Gaddiel’ is derived from ‘Gede’ (ገደ) and ‘El’ (ኤል) ፥ the meaning is ‘fortune of the almighty lord’ / Ibid.

The representative of the tribe of Zebulum among the twelve spies, “Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi” (Num 13:10)

ጉዲኤል ~Gaddiel, Geuel: ጋዲ ኤል፣ ገደ ኤል፣ የጌታ ኃብት፣ አምላክ ያረዳው ማለት ነው። [ተዛማጅ ስሞች- ጋዲ፣ ጋድ]

‘ገደ’ እና ’ኤል’ ከሚሉ ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ ሁለት ሰዎች አሉ ።

I.                        ጉዲኤል /Gaddiel: ሙሴ አገሩን እንንዲሰልሉ ከላካቸው፣ ከዛብሎን ነገድ፣ የሰዲ ልጅ፥ “ከብንያም ነገድ የራፉ ልጅ ፈልጢ ከዛብሎን ነገድ የሰዲ ልጅ ጉዲኤል” (ዘኁ 13:10)

II.                        ጉዲኤል /Geuel: የማኪ ልጅ፥ “ከጋድ ነገድ የማኪ ልጅ ጉዲኤል።” (ዘኁ 13:15)
