Feast ~ ማዕድ: Feast: as a mark of hospitality / EBD, (ዘፍ 19፡3)

The name ‘feast’ is derived from ‘Fiesta’ (ፌስታ) ፥ the meaning is ‘party’ / Ibid

As a mark of hospitality, “And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.” (Gen 19:3)

v   On birthdays (Gen 40:20; Job 1:4; Mat 14:6)

v   On the occasion of a marriage (Jud 14:10; Ges 29:22)

v   On occasions of domestic joy (Luke 15:23; Gen 21:8)

አብርሃም ሥላሴን በቤቱ ተቀብሎ ሲያስተናግድ፥ “ማዕድ አቀረበላቸው፥ ቂጣንም ጋገረ እነርሱም በሉ፥” (ዘፍ 19፡3)
