The name ‘Hashub’ is derived from ‘Hasab’ (ሐሳብህ) ፥ the meaning is ‘thought’/ Ibid.

The first of a group of five men, apparently the latter half of the family of Zerubbabel, “And Hashubah, and Ohel, and Berechiah, and Hasadiah, Jushab–hesed, five” (1 Chr 3:20)
