ሐናንያ ~Hananiah: ሐነነ ያህ፣ የህያው እግዚአብሔር ስጦታ ማለት ነው። [ተዛማጅ ስሞች- ሐኒኤል፣ ሐናንኤል፣ አናንያ፣ አኒኤል]

‘ሐናን’ እና ‘ያህ’(ያህዌ ፣ ህያው) ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ አሥራ ሦስት ሰዎች አሉ።
