Nethaniah ~ ነታንያ: “Nethaniah” means given of Jehovah / SBD, (1 ዜና 25:2፣ 12)

The name ‘Nethaniah’ is derived from ‘Netan’ (ነታን) and ‘Yah’ (ያህ) ፥ the meaning is ‘given of Jehovah’ / Ibid.

The son of Elishama, and father of Ishmael who murdered Gedaliah, “Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah...” (1 Chr 25:2)

ነታንያ ~Nethaniah: ህያው ስጦታ፣ የአምላክ በረከት ማለት ነው። [ተዛማጅ ስም- ናታንያ]

‘ናታን’ እና ‘ያህ’(ያህዌ ፣ ህያዊ) ከሚሉ ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ አራት ሰዎች አሉ።

1.                  ዳዊትና የሠራዊቱ አለቆችም ከአሳፍና ከኤማን ከኤዶታም ልጆች በመሰንቆና በበገና በጸናጽልም ትንቢት የሚናገሩትን ሰዎች ለማገልገል የተለዩ በአገልግሎታቸውም ሥራ የሠሩ፥ “ከአሳፍ ልጆች ዘኩር፥ ዮሴፍ፥ ነታንያ፥ አሸርኤላ...” (1 ዜና 25:2 ፣ 12)

2.                  የእስራኤል ንጉሥ ኢዮሳፍጥ ካዘዛቸው፥ (2 ዜና 17:8)
