Milcom ~ ሚልኮም:  The name “Milcom” means their king, /HBN, (1 ነገ 11:5)

The name ‘Milcom’ is derived from ‘Melkam’ (መልካም) ፥ the meaning is ‘king’ / Ibid.

“For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.” (1 Kin 11:5)

ሚልኮም ~Malcam, Malcham, Milcom: መላካም፣ መልከዓም፥ አምላኪ፣ አምልኮት ያላው፣ አምላክ ያለው ማለት ነው።

[ተዛማጅ ስሞች- ማልካም፣ ሞሎክ]

I.                        ሚልኮም / Malcam: “... ለእስራኤል ልጆች የሉትምን? ወይስ ወራሽ የለውምን? ስለ ምን ሚልኮም ጋድን ወረሰ? ሕዝቡስ በከተሞቹ ላይ ስለ ምን ተቀመጠ?”(ኤር 49:1)

II.                        ሚልኮም /Malcham: በሶፎንያስ የተጠቀሰው፥ የጣዖት ስም፥ “...በእግዚአብሔርና በንጉሣቸው በሚልኮም ምለው የሚሰግዱትን” (ሶፎ 1:5)

·                     የሸሐራይ ልጅ፥ ማልካም፥ (1 ዜና 8:9፣10)

III.                        ሚልኮም /Milcom: ንጉሥ ሰለሞ ን የሳተበት የጣዖት ስም፥ “ሰሎሞንም የሲዶናውያንን አምላክ አስታሮትን፥ የአሞናውያንንም ርኵሰት ሚልኮምን፥ ተከተለ።” (1 ነገ 11:5)
