The name ‘Naphish’ is derived from ‘Nefs’ (ነፍስ) ፥ the meaning is ‘soul, spirit…’/ Ibid.

One of the sons of Ishmael, “Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah” (Gen 25:15; 1 Chr 1:31); (Chr 5:19)
