Middin ~ ሚዲን: “Middin” means measures / SBD, (ኢያ 15:61)

One of the six cities "in the wilderness," on the west of the Dead Sea, mentioned along with En-gedi; “In the wilderness, Beth–arabah, Middin, and Secacah,” (Jos 15:61)

ሚዲን ~Middin: መድን፣ መዳኛ፣ ዳኝነት የሚካሄድበት፣ ፍትህ የሚሰፍንበት ቦታ ማለት ነው።

‘ዳኘ’ ከሚለው ግስ የተገኘ የቦታ ስም ነው።

በመጸሐፈ ኢያሱ ከተጠቀሱትና እስራኤላውያን ከግብጽ ከወጡ በኋላ ካለፉባቸው ስድስት ከተሞች አንዱ፥ “በምድረ በዳ ቤትዓረባ፥ ሚዲን፥ ስካካ፥” (ኢያ 15:61)
