Elishaphat ~ ኤሊሳፋጥ: “Elishaphat” means whom God judges / SBD, (2 ዜና 23፡1)

The name ‘Elishaphat’ is derived from ‘El’ (ኤል) and ‘Sfnet’ (ስፍነት) ፥ the meaning is ‘Jdge of the almighty lord’ / Ibid.

Son of Zichri, “… and Azariah the son of Obed, and Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri, into covenant with him” (2 Chr 23:1)

ኤሊሳፋጥ ~Elishaphat: ኤል ስፍነት፣ የአምላክ መስፍን፣ የእግዚአብሔር ዳኛ፣ የአምላክ ዳኛ ማለት ነው።

‘ኤል’ እና ‘ሰፋት’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

የዝክሪን ልጅ፥ “በሰባተኛውም ዓመት ዮዳሄ በረታ፥ የመቶ አለቆቹንም፥ ... ልጅ መዕሤያን፥ የዝክሪንም ልጅ ኤሊሳፋጥን ወስዶ ከእነርሱ ጋር ቃል ኪዳን አደረገ።” (2 ዜና 23፡1)
