Eli ~ ኤሊ: Ascension / HBN, the offering or lifting up / EBD, (1 ሳሙ 1፡9)

The name ‘Eli’ is derived from ‘Eli’ (እላይ) ፥ the meaning is ‘high, from above’ / Ibid.

A descendant of Aaron through Ithamar, “... Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD” (1 Sam 1:9)

የቃሉ ምንጭ ‘ኃይል’ የሚለው ቃል ነው።

1.                  በጌታ የዘር ሐረግ የተጠቀሰ፣ የማቲ ልጅ፥ “ኢየሱስም ሊያስተምር ሲጀምር ዕድሜው ሠላሳ ዓመት ያህል ሆኖት ነበር እንደመሰላቸው የዮሴፍ ልጅ ሆኖ፥ የኤሊ ልጅ፥” (ሉቃ 3:23)
