Eliakim ~ ኤልያቄም: whom God will raise up / EBD; Resurrection of God / HBN, (2 ነገ 18፡18)

The root words for ‘Eliakim’ are ‘El’ (ኤል) and ‘A’Qum’ (አ’ቆመ)፥ The meaning is ‘who stands with the almighty’/ Ibid.

Son of Hilkiah, master of Hezekiah's household, “And when they had called to the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah ...” (2 Kin 18፡18)

ኤልያቄም ~Eliakim: ኤል ያቆም፣ ኤል አቆመ፣ በአምላክ የጸና፣ እግዚአብሔር ያነሳው ማለት ነው። [ተዛማጅ ስሞች- ቀሙኤል፣ ቁሚ፣ አኪቃም፣ አዶኒቃም፣ ኢዮአቄም፣ ዓዝሪቃም፣ ያቂም፣ ዮቂም፣ ዮአቂም] 

‘ኤል’ እና ‘ቆመ’ ከሚሉት ሁለት የተመሠረተ  ስም ነው።

[ትርጉሙ እግዚአብሔር ያስነሳል ማለት ነው / መቅቃ]

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ አራት ሰዎች አሉ።

1.                  የኬልቅያስ ልጅ፥ “ንጉሡንም ጠሩ የቤቱም አዛዥ የኬልቅያስ ልጅ ኤልያቄም ጸሐፊውም ሳምናስ ታሪክ ጸሐፊውም የአሳፍ ልጅ ዮአስ ወደ እነርሱ ወጡ።” (2 ነገ 18፡18) ፥ (ኢሳ 36:3)፥ (2 ነገ 18:18 ፣ 26 ፣ 37)

2.                  በጌታ የዘር ሐረግ የተጠቀሰ፥ የዮናን ልጅ፥ (ሉቃ 3፡30 ፣31)፣ (ማቴ 1:13)

3.                  የኢዮስያስን ልጅ የኢዮአክስ ወንድም፥ የኢዮአቄም የቀድሞ ስም፥ (2 ዜና 36:4)፣ (2 ነገ 23:34)

4.                  በነህምያ ዘመን የነበረ ካህን፣ የኢየሩሳሌም ግንብ በማደስ የተባበረ፥ (ነህ 12:41)
