Judith ~ ዮዲት: “Judith” means Jewess, or praised / SBD, (ዘፍ 26:34)

The name ‘Judith’ is derived from ‘Wdiet’ (ውዲት) ፥ the meaning is ‘the beloved woman / Ibid.

ዮዲት ~Judith: ዩዲት፣ ይሁዲ፣ ውህድ፣ ተዋሃደ፣ አንድ የሆነ፣ አይሁዳዊት ማለት ነው።

‘ይሁዲት’ ከሚለው ስም የመጣ ስም ነው።
