Jiphthahel ~ ይፍታሕኤል: “Jiphthahel” means which God opens / SBD, (ኢያ 19፡14)

The name ‘Jiphthahel’ is derived from ‘Yftah’ (ይፍታህ) and ‘El’ (ኤል) ፥ the meaning is ‘whom the lord sets free’ / Ibid.

A valley which served as one of the landmarks for the boundary of both Zebulun, “And the border compasseth ...in the valley of Jiphthahel:” (Jos 19:14) and Asher; (Jos 19:27)

‘ይፍታህ’ እና ’ኤል’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ የቦታ ስም ነው።

ዛብሎን እና የአሴር ልጆች በየወገኖቻቸው የርስታቸው ድንበር፥ “ድንበሩም በሰሜን በኩል ወደ ሐናቶን ዞረ፥ መውጫውም በይፍታሕኤል ሸለቆ ነበረ።” (ኢያ 19፡14)
