Joanna ~ ዮሐና: whom Jehovah has graciously given / EBD, (ሉቃ 24:10)

The name of a woman, occurring twice in, “It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles” (Luk 8:3; 24:10)

The other person with the same name: Son of Rhesa, According to the text of; and one of the ancestors of Christ, “Which was the son of Joanna, which was the son of Rhesa, which was the son of Zorobabel, which was the son of Salathiel, which was the son of Neri,” (Luk 3:27)

 ዮሐና ~Joanna: የሐና፣ ለጌታ የሆነ፣ ለአምላክ የተሰጠ፣ እግዚአብሔር የማረው ማለት ነው። [ተዛማጅ ስም- የዮና]

‘የሐና’ ከሚለው ቃል የተገኘ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ ሁለት ሰዎች አሉ።

·                     የሄሮድስ አዛዥ የኩዛ ሚስት፥ ዮሐና ፥ “የሄሮድስ አዛዥ የኩዛ ሚስት ዮሐናም ሶስናም ብዙዎች ሌሎችም ሆነው በገንዘባቸው ያገለግሉት ነበር።” (ሉቃ 8:3) ፣ (ሉቃ 24:10)
