Jokneam ~ ዮቅንዓም: The name “Jokneam” means possessing, or building up, of the people / HBN, (ኢያ 19:11)

A city "of Carmel", “And their border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam;” (Jos 19:11); (Jos 21:34)

ዮቅንዓም ~Jokneam: ያቀንያም፣ አምላክ ያቀናው፣ አምላክ ያቆመው፣ በጌታ የተሠራ ማለት ነው።

‘የቀና’ ከሚለው ቃል የተገኘ ስም ነው።

ለዛብሎን ልጆች በየወገኖቻቸው ከወጣ የርስታቸው ድንበር፥ “...እስከ ደባሼትም ደረሰ በዮቅንዓም ፊት ለፊት ወዳለው ወንዝ ደረሰ” (ኢያ 19:11)
