Jew ~ አይሁድ: The name derived from the patriarch Judah / EBD; “Jew” means a man of Judea / SBD, (2 ነገ 16:6)

The name ‘Jew’ is derived from‘Yhuda’ (ይሁዳ) ፥ the root word is ‘Whd’ (ውህድ) ፥ the meaning is ‘united’/ Ibid.

First given to one belonging to the tribe of Judah or to the separate kingdom of Judah, “At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and Drave the Jews from Elath: ...” (2 Kin 16:6)

አይሁድ ~Jew, Jewish: ይሁዳ፣ ውህዲ፣ ይሁዲ፣ አይሁዳዊ ማለት ነው።

I.                        አይሁድ /Jew: “በዚያም ዘመን የሶርያ ንጉሥ ረአሶን ኤላትን ወደ ሶርያ መለሰ፥ አይሁድንም ከኤላት አሳደደ ...” (2 ነገ 16:6)

II.                        አይሁድ /Jewish: እስራኤላውያን፥ “ይህ ምስክር እውነተኛ ነው። ስለዚህ ምክንያት የአይሁድን ተረትና ከእውነት ፈቀቅ የሚሉትን ሰዎች ትእዛዝ ሳያዳምጡ፥ በሃይማኖት ጤናሞች እንዲሆኑ በብርቱ ውቀሳቸው።” (ቲቶ 1፡14)
