Jiphtah ~ ይፍታሕ: “Jiphtah” means whom God sets free / SBD, (ኢያ 15፡43)

The name ‘Jiphtah’ is derived from ‘Y’ftah’ (ይፍታህ) ፥ the root word is ‘Feta’ (ፈታ) ፥ the meaning is ‘whom the lord sets free’ / Ibid.

One of the cities of Judah in the maritime lowland, or Shefelah, “And Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,” (Jos 15:43)
