Cana ~ ቃና: The name “Cana” means zeal; jealousy; possession / HBD; “Cana” means place of reeds / SBD, (ዮሐ 2፡1-11)

The name ‘Cana’ is derived from ‘Qena’ (ቀና) ፥ the meaning is the same as ‘Canneh’/ Ibid.

A town of Galilee, “And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; …” (Joh 2:1-11)

ቃና ~Cana, Kanah: ቃና፣ ጣዕም ማለት ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ ሦስት ቦታዎች አሉ።

I.                        ቃና /Cana: የጌታ እናት ልጅዋ ጋር ለሰርግ የተገኘችበት አገር፥ “በሦስተኛውም ቀን በገሊላ ቃና ሰርግ ነበረ፥ የኢየሱስም እናት በዚያ ነበረች፤” (ዮሐ 2፡1-11)

II.                        ቃና /Kanah:

1.                  የኤፍሬም ልጆች ነገድ ርስት በየወገኖቻቸው፥ (ኢያ 16:8)

2.                  በአሴር ርስት በስተሰሜን የሚገኝ ከተማ፥ (ኢያ 19:28)
