Bethphage ~ ቤተ ፋጌ: house of the unripe fig / EBD, (ማቴ 21:1)

The name of a place on the Mount of Olives on the road between Jericho and Jerusalem, “And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,” (Mat 21:1)

ቤተ ፋጌ ~Bethphage: ቤተ ፋጌ፣ የፋጌ ቤት ማለት ነው ።

‘ቤት’ እና ‘ፋጌ’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

ጌታ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም ባደረገው ጉዞ ካለፈባቸው ከተሞች፥ “ወደ ኢየሩሳሌምም ቀርበው ወደ ደብረ ዘይት ወደ ቤተ ፋጌ ሲደርሱ...” (ማቴ 21:1)
