Beth-jeshimoth ~ ቤትየሺሞት: House of wastes, or deserts / EBD, “Bethjeshimoth” means house of deserts / SBD, (ዘኁ 33፡49)

The name ‘Bethjesimoth’ is derived from ‘Biet’ (ቤት) ፣ ‘yeshi’ (የሽ) and ‘mot’ (ሞት) ፥ the meaning is ‘house of thousands death’ / Ibid.

A town near Abel-shittim, east of Jordan, in the desert of Moab, where the Israelites encamped not long before crossing the Jordan, (Num 33:49)

ቤት የሺሞት ~Beth-jeshimoth: ቤት የሽህ ሞት፣ የሽህ ሞት ቤት፣ ብዙ ሰዎች የሞቱበት ቤት፣ ብዙ ስዎች የተገደሉበት ቦታ ማለት ነው።

‘ቤት’፣ ‘ሺህ’ እና ‘ሞት’ ከሚሉ ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

·                     የእስራኤልም ልጆች ጕዞ ከሙሴና ከአሮን እጅ በታች በጭፍሮቻቸው ከግብፅ በወጡ ጊዜ ያለፋበት ቦታ፥ (ዘኁ 33፡49)
