One of the most ancient cities of Assyria, “Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,” (Gen 10:11)

‘ቃለ’ ከሚለው ግስ የመጣ ስም ነው።

ናምሩድ የመሠረታት ከተማ ስም፥ “አሦርም ከዚያች አገር ወጣ ነነዌን፥ የረሆቦትን ከተማ፥ ካለህን” (ዘፍ 10:11)
