Jeremiah ~ ኤርምያ፣ ኤርምያስ: Raised up or appointed by Jehovah / EBD, (1 ዜና 5:24)

The name ‘Jeremiah’ is derived from ‘Yerame’ (የራመ) and ‘Yah’ (ያህ) ፥ the meaning is ‘Jehovah the highest’ / Ibid.

[ትርጉሙ እግዚአብሔር ከፍ ያደርጋል ማለት ነው / መቅቃ]

‘ራማ’ እና ‘ያህ፣ ዋስ’ (ያህዌ) ከሚሉ ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ ስድስት ሰዎች አሉ።

I.                        ኤርምያስ /Jeremiah:

1.                  ዳዊትም ከምድረ በዳ ውስጥ ባለችው በአንባይቱ ሳለ ከጋድ ወገን የሆኑ እነዚህ ጋሻና ጦር የሚይዙ፥ ጽኑዓን ኃያላን፥ ሰልፈኞች፥ ወደ እርሱ ከተጠጉ፥ “አምስተኛው ኤርምያስ፥ ስድስተኛው አታይ፥” (1 ዜና 12፡11)

2.                  ዳዊትም ከምድረ በዳ ውስጥ ባለችው በአንባይቱ ሳለ ከጋድ ወገን የሆኑ እነዚህ ጋሻና ጦር የሚይዙ፥ ጽኑዓን ኃያላን፥ ሰልፈኞች፥ ወደ እርሱ ተጠጉ፥ (1 ዜና 12:13)

3.                  በጺቅላግም ከቂስ ልጅ ከሳኦል በተሸሸገ ጊዜ ወደ ዳዊት የመጡ፥ (1 ዜና 12:4)

4.                  የምናሴ የነገድ እኵሌታ ልጆች፥ የአባቶቻቸው ቤቶች አለቆች፥ (1 ዜና 5:24)

5.                  የንጉሥ ኢዮአክስ አያት፥  (2 ነገ 23:31)

6.                  ነብዩ፣ የኬልቅያስ ልጅ፥  (ኤር1:1)፣ (ኤር 32:6)

II.                        ኤርምያስ /Jeremias: “እርሱም፦ አንዳንዱ መጥምቁ ዮሐንስ፥ ሌሎችም ኤልያስ፥ ሌሎችም ኤርምያስ ወይም ከነቢያት አንዱ ነው ይላሉ አሉት።” (ማቴ 16:14)
