The name ‘Jehosheba’ is derived from ‘Yah’ (ያህ) and ‘Seb’ (ሰብ)፥ the meaning is ‘man of Jehovah’ / Ibid.

ዮሳቤት ~Jehosheba: ያህ ሳባ፣ ያህ ሰብ፣ የጌታ ሰው፣ ህያው ሰው፣ የቃልኪዳን ልጅ ማለት ነው።

Jehosheba- ‘ያህ’ (ህያው) እና ‘ሳባ’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም።
