The name ‘Jehovah-tsidkenu’ is derived from ‘Yahwie’ (ያህዌ) and ‘Tsadqanu’ (ጻድቃኑ) ፥ The root word for ‘tsidkenu’ is ‘Tsedeqe’ (ጸደቀ) ፥ The meaning is ‘Jehovah who gives eternal life’/ Ibid.

A title given to the Messiah, “In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord our righteousness” (Jer 23:6)

Jehovah-tsidkenu- ‘ያህዌ’ እና ‘ጽድቅነ’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ነው።

የህያው አምላክነት ባህሪን ለመግለጽ የተሰጠ ስም፥ “በዘመኑም ይሁዳ ይድናል እስራኤልም ተዘልሎ ይቀመጣል፥ የሚጠራበትም ስም። እግዚአብሔር ጽድቃችን ተብሎ ነው።” (ኢያ 23፡6)
