Jahaziel ~ የሕዚኤል: beheld by God / EBD, (1 ዜና 23፡19)

The name ‘Jahaziel’ is derived from ‘Yahazi’ (ያሐዚ) and ‘El’ (ኤል) ፥ the meaning is ‘beheld by the almighty lord’/ Ibid.

The third son of Hebron, “Of the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth” (1 Chr 23:19)

Other people with the same name are: A Benjamite chief who joined David at Ziklag (1 Chr 12:4); A priest who accompanied the removal of the ark to Jerusalem (1 Chr 16:6); The son of Zechariah, a Levite of the family of Asaph (2 Chr 20:14-17)

የሕዚኤል ~Jahaziel: ያህዘ ኤል፣ አምላክ ያዘ፣ በአምላክ እጅ ያለ ማለት ነው።

‘ያዘ’ እና ‘ኤል’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተመሠረተ ስም ነው።

በዚህ ስም የሚታወቁ አምስት ሰዎች አሉ ።

1.                  የኬብሮን ሦስተኛ ልጅ፥ የሕዚኤል፥ “የኬብሮን ልጆች አለቃው ይሪያ፥ ሁለተኛው አማርያ፥ ሦስተኛው የሕዚኤል፥ አራተኛው ይቅምዓም ነበሩ።” (1 ዜና 23፡19)

2.                  በጺቅላግም ከቂስ ልጅ ከሳኦል በተሸሸገ ጊዜ ወደ ዳዊት ከመጡ፥ የሕዚኤል፥ (1 ዜና 12:4)

3.                  በዳዊት ዘመን የነበረ ካህን፥ የሕዚኤል፥ (1 ዜና 16:6)

4.                  የዘካሪያስ ልጅ፥ የሕዚኤል፥ (2 ዜና 20:14-17)

5.                  በዕዝራ ዘመን ከተመለሱት፣ አባት፥ የሕዚኤል፥ (ዕዝ 8:5)
