Bethabara ~ ቤተ ራባ: The name “Bethabara” means the house of confidence / HBN, (ዮሐ 1፡28)

The name ‘Bethabara’ is derived from ‘Biet’ (ቤት) and ‘Ber’ (በር)፥ The meaning is ‘enterance of the house’ / Ibid.

A place on the east bank of the Jordan, where John was baptizing, “These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.” (Joh 1:28)
