Beth-anath ~ ቤትዓናት: House of response / EBD; The name “Bethanath” means house of affliction / HBN, (ኢያ 19፡38)

The name ‘Bethanath’ is derived from ‘Biet’ (ቤት) and ‘Anat’ (አናት) ፥ the meaning is ‘head of the house’ / Ibid.

ቤትዓናት ~Beth-anath: ቤተ አናት፣ ራስ፣ አለቃ፣ የበላይ አዛዥ ማለት ነው።

‘ቤት’ እና ‘አናት’ ከሚሉ ሁለት ቃላት የተገኘ የቦታ ስም ነው።

ከንፍታሌም ልጆች ነገድ ርስት በየወገኖቻቸው እነዚህ ከተሞችና መንደሮቻቸው፥ “...ሚግዳልኤል፥ ሖሬም፥ ቤትዓናት፥ ቤትሳሚስ አሥራ ዘጠኝ ከተሞችና መንደሮቻቸው።” (ኢያ 19፡38)
